And you can't spend any points outside of one tree until you spend 31 points in your primary.

The true goal is to give the appearance of choice, when really there is none. If you wish to optimize, you will choose a predictable set of talents. These are the talents that Blizzard wants you to take, so that they can balance their game around them, without having to worry about how multiple hybrid specs will affect their pve or pvp content. The worthless talents are there specifically so that people think they have options. They don't. Conform.


I don't play no more, but looking at the talents linked below ... it does look that way. I built an Arcane tree and grabbed every single useful talent and still had to grab PvP talents to round out the tree. And then you can't take an 11 point talent from another tree (if 41 points is indeed the total). How utterly depressing, frankly, it makes me quite glad I've chosen never to come back after leaving a year in a half ago.
