As much as I loved Fallout 3, Oblivion still saw more total hours played. I just didn't do as much modding with FO3. Some tweaks, sure... But Oblivion had me installing total rebalancing/texturing/etc mods and playing it through several times. More accurately, I only played through its main quest once. Having all of those portals open was annoying.
