It is undoubtedly different from the first. I am sure politics will weigh in eventually, but in the early going it is more about survival than any lofty goals. That's pretty new for Bioware... usually they give you an epic quest right away, here, it's just about getting by as a refugee, at least so far. An interesting way to approach it. I also like how the Warden's decisions from Origins make subtle touches to the plot in this. Nothing earth shattering, but just enough to put an extra smile on my face every now and then.
I'll get back to you on the combat, I'm still getting used to it.
I also love how having different companions with you can be used to manipulate conversations. It sure beats them only chiming in occasionally, and then giving a status update, after.
So far, so good.

No agony yet, but I was torn between the smuggler and the mercenary in Kirkwall.

It's a great $20-30 game. Definitely not worth $60. *NM*

So far, I'd disagree. It's worth the full-price. Again though, only 4 hours in. *NM*

It's picking up a bit. I'm just getting tired of Kirkwall. Still not a $60 game.
