The boy does. And I like playing it to fight Big Baddies with other people, and I like going about learning the lore and shit when I'm bored. The grinding and shit I avoid as much as I can. Which is why my characters are always poor :P

if Torchlight II has multiplayer, I guess I could feasibly enjoy it...but if I'm already doing that in WoW, what's the point of buying Torchlight?

TL2 will have multiplayer. The advantage over WoW is that you don't need 10 or 25 people to kill the big, bad monsters - just yourself, or up to 8 people with the difficulty scaling on a per-player basis.

I beat Normal-difficulty Torchlight 1 last night; the end fight was hella fun (far more so than most any WoW raid boss I've done). Also, you don't need gold in (any, really) action RPG since you can farm items off boss kills (just like WoW, but a lot easier and you get all the drops instead of rolling or DKP-ing).

Agreed. Diablo (and Torchlight) is the very definition of a repetitive grindfest. - 17/08/2011 02:35:15 PM 651 Views
Which is just fine, for what they are. - 17/08/2011 05:26:10 PM 745 Views

Yeah, the TW series is pretty weak grand strategy. Paradox does it best. *NM* - 17/08/2011 09:29:28 PM 251 Views
