I believe it comes free with the Hardened Edition of MW3, so I'll have plenty of time to form an opinion without paying the subscription.

I'm largely getting the Hardened Edition because you supposedly get all future map packs for free. If they release the standard three to four packs, the extra price of Hardened will be worth it.
