That story is so far inferior to that of FF6 it isn't allowed to swim in FF6's toilet bowl! aAAAAaaaarhghghhahghhgh
Maybe it sucks balls and I'm just remembering it through the eyes of a teenager.
Then again, I'm confident that FF7's story was better (and better executed) than that of FF6.
For the record, I think the best videogame story ever was in Braid. Small glimpses that force the reader to piece things together seem to be the best storytelling method for videogames, because they can't out-film film or out-cartoon cartoons.
