Although he admits he may be spoiled by the other game he's playing, Demon's Souls, which has a very robust combat system.

He describes Dragon Age as being kind of like Final Fantasy 12, where you organize gambits (automatic options), except there's no pause button.


So far, the combat system is limited, but it's so early I won't make a full judgement. It seems as if they will be pushing the organizational aspect more than usual via the Combat Tactics.

FYI, you can pause the game...anytime you want to update combat tactics...this is allowed based on my experience so far.
