I know there are other females, but they're never shown. Clearly the races survived somehow before they encountered Asari. But just going by what we see in mass effect, the female versions of Turians, Salarians, etc, might as well not exist. If they can't be found on the Citadel, the hub of galactic civilization, then where could they be? Or are they all so important that they can only be found on the Turian's and Salarian's respective home planets?

The same can be said for Asari, and how they are all females simply to save the developers the trouble of making male Asari. In their case though, the game states that there are no male Asari, so it isn't question. While with the other races there actually are females... They're just never seen for some unimaginable reason.

I probably sound extremely bitter and serious about all this though, and I just want to clarify that I'm not. It doesn't bother me at all when I'm playing the game unless I really stop to think about it. When I do think about it though, it does detract from the game. It's still a great game, it just could have been an even better one.
