I have never understood the interest people have with experiencing low-level psychological trauma for entertainment. I don't mean that in a snarky, judgmental way. I mean it quite literally. I do not enjoy horror films, realistic action films, or psychological thrillers at all.

Everything I've seen indicates that DUNKIRK is one of the best portrayals of the unremitting horrors of war to date, which means that I'm staying far, far away.

There really isn't a lot of combat, beyond a fairly sterile aerial dogfight. One of the characters gets shot at in two scenes, by off-screen enemies, but there really isn't any fighting. Most of the deaths and disasters could come from other sources (i.e. ships getting sunk - not a lot of naval combat, just the kind of stuff you'd see in Titanic).

And I didn't ASK you to go see it, I TOLD you to.
