Polarization of both the Left and the Right The Shrike Send a noteboard - 23/08/2017 04:35:24 PM

We all key our bias cloud our perception of reality but it has reached the point where pointing out the gap between someone's truth and reality is considered offensive. Point out to alt right conservatives the factual holes in their view on immigration and you are in favour of open borders and want to meet Mexico take over our country. Point out that members of both sides wee committing violence inn Charlottesville and you support neo nazies. This sorry of thinking needs to be challenged and the centrist are the only ones that can do it.

Means there is more room in the center. But it also means that the Center is further away from both the Far Left and the Far Right. So it becomes much harder for people on the Left/Right to broach the middle. You are right that Centrists need to be the ones to broach the gap.
