The debate is an interesting one. Like Greg, I believe that what is viewed as truth is malleable and changes based on time and perspective. But I am not a complete relativist. I'd like to think that absolute truth exists, that there are some values that should not be subject to popular opinion and the will of the majority. I assume historians or anthropologists can find some culture in which any example of heinous behavior I can think of was perfectly acceptable. That's why I hesitate to get into specifics.
