I realize that this article is a bit weird, but it does cite extremely relevant facts, such as the fact that our per capita homicide rate is far lower than in some countries with gun control. Mass shootings are more common here, yes, but overall deaths are much lower. Other countries have tons of weapons but lower rates than even we do.

My point is that always running to gun control is a wasted effort not only because of our Constitution (and the fact that you won't get enough people to support amending it to remove the Second Amendment), but because it doesn't fully address the issue. I suspect that people would use truck bombs more or other modalities if we implemented gun control, because (1) our society is angry, (2) many people feel isolated, and (3) we have really shitty mental health care.
