It's hard for me to know in every case, but I remember a party I went to in 2007 that Spacey was at. The leer he gave me when I met him (briefly, thankfully) was enough to make me very disgusted. Even at the time, I commented to friends that he was creepy and weird. Then I went to the bar and forgot about him and the weird sycophants surrounding him that he was caressing from time to time.

Teases about something that is too dark I should not be really make dark jokes about.

I don't know what you mean by leer Tom, so many different definitions that all may apply to you So many ways a person can make a face at you, let alone probably the more relevant "leers they can give you" was it a look that was lascivious, or perhaps unpleasant, maybe you mean malicious? What type of look do you mean by leer in this specific instance?
