there is nothing to understand. republicans want the return of pre-Civil War white supremacy, and they've shown they are willing and able to do everything they can to bring that back. fuck everyone who still calls themselves a republican willing to support a racist child sexual predator just so they can stick it to black people, women, and the poor.
