All in all, this contributes nicely to my estimated tax cut of $8k (getting rid of AMT and expanding the eligibility of the child tax credit also help).
you live in New Jersey, right? Or am I misremembering that?
If I'm not mistaken, NJ was one of the states where the high state taxes and their reduced deductibility (is that even a word?) made the whole deal a lot less attractive. How do your state taxes impact the picture you describe above?
My paycheck had an additional $150 in it yesterday...
