Running is a wonderful thing for health, though I know I would never be able to finish a marathon. It is just way beyond my abilities. I can do short runs, up to 5 miles, and that's about it. Asthma starts to kick in after that.

I can still run around an 8-9 minute mile pace up to a 5K, but I've had to learn to slow down and control my breathing (and use Singulair daily and Albuterol 20 minutes prior to a race and every hour after beginning) when going longer distances. Didn't even know that's what I was suffering from until 3 years ago. It's taught me a lot about limitations and how to manage them.
