Too many seem to have the outlook that Trump deserves whatever befalls him.

As I said in your thread, I believe Trump often acts like an idiot. But his most provocative statements seem to be red meat to his fans. Particularly when contrasted with Obama's recent musings that maybe his Presidency was 10 or 20 years too soon. Americans tend to bristle at self-aggrandizing intellectual elitists. Trumps tweets can be dismissed as shtick. Not so much Obama's perception of being decades ahead of his time.
