This stupid thing takes place right around the time my family gets together to rent a house down the shore for a couple of weeks and my sister affects to be a soccer fan (because her friend is - most of the time she gives no indication of giving a shit about the sport, but she seems to be feel obligated to make a big thing about the World Cup). As a result, every couple of years, the beach house has hours of televised World Cup matches. I watched the final between the Netherlands & Spain a few years ago, with me & my fellow history buff brothers rooting for Spain for revenge, and I saw the blowout game between Germany and some bullshit South American country in the last one, but that was the greatest extent to which I could be said to have enjoyed any of it, and both matches went on WAY too long. Even in a soccer blowout, not a lot happens.

So whatever path gets us to the end fastest get my vote.
