From here... Jeordam Send a noteboard - 26/10/2018 06:04:06 PM

I would say right off the bat, that I am not outraged. I very intentionally try and not use hyperbolic language. Mild Irritation? Sure. Frustrated? Sure. Outraged? Not in the least.

I'm not as old as Damookster (so my perspective may be different), but what I'm seeing is huge swaths of people who haven't faced a real challenge, yet are crumbling at the minor obstacles that they are facing. This is disheartening, because I then wonder what will happen when they do face a real challenge. When they take their places of leadership in this country (and society), will they crumble again when so much more is expecting them to stand fast?

Can't find a job after you got a $100k degree in Women's Studies, African American History, or Social Media Communications? The jobs you do find won't pay you $15.50 an hour? Your school loans are downing you? You can't buy your own home when you want to? Someone challenges you by saying "There are only two genders, and one cannot switch from one to the other by 'Identifying' as the other."...and you can't deal with it and need a Safe Space? Or better yet, you get to vote in and participate in a General Election...and your candidate looses, despite all the cards stacked in her favor.

And now you're getting PTSD? Ok...

My emotions on the subject won't change the situation. However, their emotions on the subject just reinforce the fact that my characterization of you was correct in the first place.
