Or to be more precise, they replaced it by the principle of 'If we improve one thing, it's only fair that we compensate by dialing back the clock on at least one other thing and make it worse than it was a decade ago'.
Some things do improve, but I really increasingly get the impression that they make other things worse on purpose. It's just too implausible that they'd have this kind of bug accidentally and then never bother fixing it.
Kids today with their technology...
