Agree it was pretty good. I was entertained, so I’m happy. To your point about Manta’s technology being so much better than Batman’s, it was Atlantean technology given to him by Orm. So it’s not really a fair comparison.

He exist within a world where super-tech is everywhere. He could easily get himself super powers with almost no effort on his part... And hell, he is normally depicted as one of, if not THE, best martial artiest in a world in which martial arts THEMSELVES can give one super powers simply from being good at them, yet... nope.
You might as well ask why Superman doesn't wear some advanced anti kryptonite tech 24/7.
