My family is from Wichita, Kansas and Independence, Missouri (both sides going back a few generations from these two towns.)
Independence Missouri is a Suburb of Kansas City and the center of the city is 6 miles away from Arrowhead Stadium where the Chiefs are located. With the city limits of Independence Missouri being only half a mile away from Arrowhead plus only half a mile away from Kauffman Stadium (KC Royals) and both of these stadiums have housed these two teams for over 45 years now.
