Incorrectly so Tom Send a noteboard - 04/03/2019 04:53:37 PM

Songs are epic poems in poetic form. If Martin wrote his series in poetic form, particularly in French Alexandrine, then it might make sense. However, he wrote it in (fairly poorly written) prose.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius

Why is A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) called "A Song?" - 03/03/2019 12:14:24 AM 530 Views
Because that is the primary format for fiction, myths, epics and so on in the setting *NM* - 03/03/2019 06:52:51 PM 145 Views

The work is not the Song, the work is ABOUT the Song - 05/03/2019 05:44:18 PM 224 Views
Because "Book of Ice and Fire"/"Neverending fantasy series of Ice and Fire" sound less poetic *NM* - 03/03/2019 07:15:28 PM 115 Views
