You don't have to recreate the actions of channeling.

I know it wouldn't be perfect, but the spell/innate system in this style of game would serve adequate for recreating the results of channeling. Like sure, you wouldn't be laying down the flows, but it can absolutely straight blow up a trolloc.

Both TEotW and TGH had big One Power battles against armies. TDR just didn't have "armies".
