Although the article is obviously rather tongue in cheek, I'll take the opportunity to comment on one of my pet peeves about English, rather than French: what kind of nonsense is it to take 'hot' as antonym of 'cold', instead of the far more logical 'warm'? Clearly 'hot' is a more extreme version of 'warm', so the antonym of 'hot' should be something stronger than merely 'cold', such as 'ice cold'. If you want something inbetween 'cold' and its antonym, that would be where 'tepid' comes in.
