One of my most common complaints about Egwene, for instance, is that she lacks empathy, and isn't interested in any sort of balance or equality, but forces her way whenever she can. A fundamental problem I have with Game of Thrones is the single-dimensional portrayals and the stripping of empathy from many of the characters, especially the Starks.
