What's the general thing? Is it earth? Timeframe?
I'd guess that there are powers? Is this a classic "good vs. evil" or maybe a "chosen one" hero coming into their own?
I ask more for curiosity than as a "am I gonna watch this" criteria. But no spoilers please!

The Legend of Aang is on a different planet and the tech is steampunk 1800s. While there is mechanical steampunk 1800s tech, there are also 4 different forms of elemental magic that is genetic related and thus 4 “main” different cultures.
Air Nomads, Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation. (Note there are actually many subcultures to these 4 dominant groups.) These 4 groups are at war and thus it is a good vs evil story but it is more complicated than that for the storytellers wanted to tell a story that moves the heart and makes you feel things. (They succeeded.)
The first 80 seconds of the first episode will introduce the series in a quick way better than this, it is all you need to know and sets the table quite well.

They only use the 80 second version once as an opening intro.
In the next 60 episodes they use a modified version opening that is 45 seconds long as the introduction credit. The modified second version intro is shorter and more condensed but it also contains 15 new seconds of content, that is a summary of the first episode of the series.
