then we should mention criminally stupid Governor Andrew Cuomo who ordered hospitals to free up beds by sending elderly COVID patients to nursing homes in the early days of the outbreak. This only led to thousands of nursing home deaths and NJ followed his lead. I believe between 5 and 6 thousand was the total death count.
