A skill or a trade that can be passed along (especially to those without the means to learn themselves).
I've not 'wired' anything in a long time shy of outlet or lamp repairs - so - I wouldn't feel comfortable teaching the mechanics of the trade at this stage.
As to my current situation on the bulk power system - when I retire I am looking to sort of walk away from the industry (it's treated me well, but after 35 years I will be ready for another area to explore and learn new things - both internal and external).
I'm not opposed to going back to "school" either - in so much as I don't have to go to Bachelor/Doctorate levels in order to effect the type of work I am shooting for ( - just need a subject of focus).
But as to facilitating for those whom need to be placed with teachers/schooling/means of learning like apprenticeships et al. That is indeed a good tact to add to the list - thanks for your take, it's appreciated!
