...I can tell you why this is important to me...

The lab leak hypothesis has always been a valid possibility worthy of consideration. To reject this as a valid possibility is frankly unscientific.

In addition, the data supporting lab leak was uncovered early on, and steadily grew, while the data supporting an inter-species vector did not accumulate much evidence.

Now for those who weren't looking, the above statement was inversely observed. To those who only took their news from "news" organizations, lab leak was a crazy conspiracy, and the only real possibility was inter-species. Adding to that, social media companies removed and penalized anyone who promoted lab-leak. This made a highly distorted view of reality, since one narrative was promoted actively by news sites and blue checkmarks, while another narrative was actively suppressed by Twitter and Youtube, et al.

Why?

Perhaps this is also... what were the words you used? Motivated reasoning? Politics? Orange man bad? A desire to enact social change with less objection? Perhaps it was business. China is after all, a huge market. We wouldn't want to offend them.

So, for me, I have confirmation of my already deep-seeded suspicions. They're all liars. I should not trust them, nor their vapid slogans and calls for public humiliation. Trust the science? Trust the science that only supports your narrative, you mean.

And if they will permit a lie this widespread and counter-the-evidence, then what else could they be lying about? I have no trust, and no reason to follow their counsel.

Which brings me to Ivermectin.

The same treatment has been/is being enacted on Covid treatments, specifically Ivermectin. Gee, I wonder why Ivermectin was never seriously explored as a potential treatment for Covid...? Could it have something to do with the fact that vaccines would not have been allowed Emergency Use Authorization if a viable treatment was discovered? Could it be that vaccines would not have been as widely accepted by the populace at large if they knew cheap, safe, and readily available treatment was an option?

I'm sorry, but a world-view where lying is justified if it supports a narrative, is one that I will not accept, and will actively speak and act out against.
