Possibly because it is inherent in both Oracle java and SQL and I get more than enough of that at work.
To be serious for a moment, that's what was done to Senator Cotton - the Senator supports some unsubstantiated conspiracy theories. He also supports the possibility COVID escaped from a Wuhan lab. Therefore that must also be an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory.
Or not. Two things can both be true. Being wrong about one doesn't mean one is wrong about both, or everything. Sadly that is the level of current discourse.
Fact: everyone lies. Fact: politicians are a subset of everyone. Therefore politicians lie? Valid conclusion. Therefore everything they say is a lie? Not a valid conclusion. All it takes is one true statement to disprove it.
So the fact that WHO and the CDC spent a year disparaging the possibility that the Chinese might have been culpable in the release of COVID is a serious stain on their credibility. But that doesn't mean everything they maintain is bullshit.
Probably just most of it.
