This morning on the Today Show, Lester Holt interviewed VP Kamala Harris in Guatemala about the current border crisis - the reason why she is in Guatemala.

Holt took her to task for not having yet visited the US-Mexico border since becoming the VP. When she replied, "we've been to the border," Holt countered, "no you haven't."

Harris' next reply? "I haven't been to Europe either."

Hence my confusion. Is there also a refugee crisis involving Europeans? Are boatloads of indigent Irish sneaking into coves on Maine's coast? What was the relevance of the Harris rejoinder?

I'm hoping someone can explain this to me so I might understand. Please use small words. Thanks.

I saw the clip, but these things happen, who will remember this in 2 weeks, there are lot of bad interviews, and honestly while the interview is not great I would say it was more meh and not the word bad.
