The storm unexpectedly shifted in the last 24 or 36 hours. This happens when things are tropical storm or lesser for the eye is spread over a large area and there is not a strong eye wall with the winds and thus harder to predict. To use a metaphor you get a chaotic queer mess until the eye wall is more developed and when it develops the mess becomes less and it targets for destruction (wind destruction)
I been kind of occupied over the last 48 hours so I am light on details but Sunday or something the eye "shifted" based off what meteorologists thought it was located by about a 100 miles. Not that it moved over a 100 miles in a short period, we got it wrong for the storm was so chaotically organized and did not have large wind speeds that made it easier to predict where it was going to be. (I am not an expert but this is to my understanding of what the experts have been saying since Sunday.)
Thus this actually happened 1pm Central and the previous 72 hours

Red means at least 10 inches of rain in the last 72 hours.
As you can see from the picture there are areas out over sea that were 10 to 20 inches of rain. If you asked us on Sunday or Monday how much rain my specific south east neighborhood of Greater Houston would get it was estimated 8 to 20 inches depending on which model, but all that rain was shifted 20 or miles south where that red stuff is on the maps I gave you. In exchange for all of this we got higher wind than predicted but still only 50ish miles. I have not checked how much rain we have got where I live but if I were to guest looking at different website maps at lest 3 inches maybe 5 inches.

I am doing good today, but busy at work, and the last two days I been doing even more Frasier stuff for my handicapped dad had medical issues. I had to take him twice to the Emergency Room, while also not allowed to go in due to COVID and worried about his health. He had blood in his urine, we do not know why the most likely suspect is begin which is a bacteria infection, which he got antibiotics for. The next day we had to take him again for even if it was a bacteria infection he could not pee even with a self inserted catheter (which he normally does due to his digestive issue) so they had to hook up with a professionally done hospital catheter which they would do normally in the hospital to make it easier for the nurses. He has been home for almost 20 hours as of typing.

And I will kill you if you say I talk too much after you asked me what is happening and I semi-deflected earlier
