I am doing good today, but busy at work, and the last two days I been doing even more Frasier stuff for my handicapped dad had medical issues. I had to take him twice to the Emergency Room, while also not allowed to go in due to COVID and worried about his health. He had blood in his urine, we do not know why the most likely suspect is begin which is a bacteria infection, which he got antibiotics for. The next day we had to take him again for even if it was a bacteria infection he could not pee even with a self inserted catheter (which he normally does due to his digestive issue) so they had to hook up with a professionally done hospital catheter which they would do normally in the hospital to make it easier for the nurses. He has been home for almost 20 hours as of typing.
Are there issues getting into the ER because of COVID? Caring for a sick parent is exhausting. We ended up hiring a 24/7 live in caregiver for my dad. I don't envy you. Been there.
And I will kill you if you say I talk too much after you asked me what is happening and I semi-deflected earlier
I would never...
The ER doctor on day 1 said do not Jinx us. I was not present for said conversation due to the admittance ER person would not let me do anything besides go home or wait in the parking lot. But supposedly per my father the ER doctor crossed his fingers and said do not Jinx this by asking that question, for it was not as bad as previous times.
I am out of date, but per one of the Houston chronicle twitter people I followed as of Friday (if I recall) Hospital admittances for COVID was down for 4 days (so in theory we had the peak and it was going down, but who knows Labor Day and how you see hospital admissions 2 to 3 weeks after infection.)
BLAH!
So yeah hopefully good news. My father was in the hospital all of late March to Mid May last year in 2020 when the first national COVID surge was happening (of course Houston did not get hit hard then), our 4 surges were June to August as one continuous surge, Sept 2020, Jan 2021, and the last week of August. Except when I say last week of August you notice the numbers earlier where people get tested, and then the hospital burden happens later.
So cross fingers

Glad you are doing not bad Mookie!
