Even these back country shepherds and farmers know the Dragon was male and the Dragon Reborn will also be male. Otherwise there would be no reason to fear the Dragon's rebirth.


That was one of my issues... probably the least of the issues.

For me the cringe moments were Lan screaming out in... mourning? (seriously, what the fuck), and the scene of an Aes Sedai being burned at the stake and the whitecloak collecting rings (presumably of the witches he's killed).

That's not even close to cannon.
