I feel Xem! The Dragon takes xyr first breath on the slopes of Dragonmount! Xe is coming! Xe is coming! Light help us! Light help the world! Xe lies in the snow and cries like the thunder! Xe burns like the sun!

I guess you could rewrite it to be gender-ambiguous without using pronouns that were never present in the book "The Dragon is born again! I can feel it! blah, blah, blah..."

And some prophecy is gender ambiguous: "The lion sword, the dedicated spear, she who sees beyond" has 2/3.

I'm trying to have hope that Hollywood is not going to crap all over a story I dearly love, but my hopes aren't exactly high...

Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
