Granted, the book is boring as fuck and I was powering through it and a lot younger when I first read it, but that went totally over my head. I basically just remembered the Honored Matres showing up and the lil' Duncan who was new and improved and the girl who talks to sandworms. And IIRC it ends with the super-general leading his men on a Bolivian Army attack while the now-good Bene Gesserit and other important characters run away with a sandworm and I have no idea why or we get there from where I am now.

And people think the first book is dense, weird and trippy.
