Insurmountable waist-high fire!

There's no way around this 60 foot-wide fire! Just because Storm Troopers say it into their radios doesn't mean it's so. Go through, go around, Vader can even force-toss you over, or jump himself. (Obi-Wan spent more time with his face in the fire than it would take the Storm Troopers to run across it, but maybe they don't fear failing Vader.) Then Fifth Brother says: "Now we'll never find him" Really? A week ago he could have been on any one of millions of inhabited planets, right now he's on this planet within a couple of miles of you, two other inquisitors, Vader and hundreds of Storm Troopers. It's definitely time to call off the search.

There are ways to have a Vader-Kenobi faceoff where Kenobi gets owned and still manages to escape, but that wasn't one of them.

Also, my incredulity of Leia continuing to not learn Obi-Wan's name is spiking.
