It wasn't an insurrection - they had no way to take control of DC let alone the country. They had no plan to do so either - their plan was to riot and cause chaos during the certification, nothing more.
It's actually LESS of an insurrection than the pseudo-communist CHOP autonomous zone that declared independence from the US in Seattle in 2020 - but we shouldn't talk about that, we can't blame Trump for it.
All the talk of "insurrection" is nothing more than smoke an mirrors designed to try and scare independents away from Trump and back to Biden - at a time when Biden's policies and presidency has failed spectacularly.
They call it an insurrection because they're desperate, and they don't have any other cards to play.
