They're amusing but kind of dumb. I actually went off on several rants in the comments section on their last video for tFoH, and didn't finish it because I was on vacation and didn't need the headache, but it's more tolerable on the livestream, when you can see other people correcting them.
Ah, cut 'em some slack. They certainly picked up on more than I did on my first readthrough.
Nerdy is at least intelligent enough to appreciate Jordan's strengths as a writer, as well as picking up on some of his flaws. Of course you are correct, sometimes it's just midwit zombie trash! Clarus... is generally tolerable, and sometimes insightful... just don't expect her to ever be ready to answer a fucking question if her life depended on it.
Besides, like you said, the chat generally keeps them on track. And it is fun to watch the theorizing and analysis. Takes me back.
