You certainly don’t need to explain to me why MLK became more popular after his death. I was in high school at the time. Many of my high school classmates were enamored with his communist leanings. It was the middle of Vietnam and my school was extremely divided on it.

As for your philosophizing over whether love or hate better unites people, I really don’t see the relevance. The article was about corporate bullshit. Companies like the one where I spent the last 22 years require diversity, equity, and inclusion training every year because it checks off a box and let’s them get government money to pay for diverse hires. But what does the training accomplish besides irritating people for 8 hours? The company can hit their goals, whatever they might be, by their actions without the mandatory training.



People can figure out ways to get along without institutional help, and there is no indoctrination that can overcome the centrifugal forces of human nature.

Yes, that’s the point.
