from other sci fi computer programmer nerds they told me it had a very paranoid vibe so yeah not fun 
also gender frustration where the author seems to like his men in a certain way and women in another way ( of course subverted in the show via some gender swaps )

It's very good. What I found most intriguing was the underlying premise that Dark Forest theory is the explanation for the Fermi Paradox. Since my nature leans towards the cynical, I find this perspective perfectly plausible (alliteration intended).

but to my understanding (plot) this is literally stuff involving calculus and sensory integration and has the plot similar to Ian Malcom the know it all in Jurassic Park ?
