Yes, I read that as well. Apparently her androgen levels and the gene test that revealed her XY chromosomes were enough for her to be banned from competing in last year's IBA World Championships. For whatever reason, the Olympic Committee chose otherwise.
But yes, she is not the villain here. I agree 100%.
