I'd love to see a deeper Elaida. I think it's certainly possible.

Whatever the show's faults may be, it seems to be very interested in humanizing major villains. We've seen significant expansions on Lanfear, Ishamael, and Liandrin; I hope we get that for Elaida, who's quite a tragic character in the books.
I'm not sure we will get that, given episode 3, but we'll see.
