Sanderson right now is probably the single biggest name in adult fantasy, for our sins, and even if you discount the Cosmere setting as a series (rightly, imo) and only consider STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE, you're looking at a series that's just hit its halfway point and is at around 2.2 million words. WOT ended at a tidy 4.4, so they're basically exactly the same, minus Jordan's capacity to write memorable characters.

Admittedly I'm not very aware of fantasy anymore these days, but as far as I can tell, the trend has shifted away from ultra-long series, as well as becoming more young-adult oriented, especially female young adults. Wheel of Time, whether it's the original parts or Sanderson's additions, has not aged all that well for Gen Z readers.

It hasn't aged all that well for a lot of older readers, too, but people still love Tolkien despite the marketing trends these days being quite different.
Anyway if you keep making these sorts of claims I'm going to hold you down and force you to read some Seth Dickinson, Tamsyn Muir, or Max Gladstone.
