Not even one time. The Hillary Clinton campaign pumped him up and helped him suck all the air out of the room when he was running to be the Republican nominee in 2016 because if they could get him nominated then they could coast to victory.
Anyway, it turns out you don't need bipartisan legislation to curb illegal immigration. You can just enforce the law we already have. Which Trump did a pretty good job of in his first term, and is being incredibly effective at now. Even Biden (or whoever was in charge, anyway) was doing a fairly good job towards the end of his term when it became clear how failure to do so was hurting their re-election chances.
