"Second" doesn't make any sense given the way White Flame's role works. Plus the fact that Isaac was waiting for an important action from White Flame. Your scenario makes White Flame's action pretty insignificant since, in your scenario, he would have died no matter whom he protected.

"Third" - True.

"First" - maybe. White Flame could night talk with anyone who he knew was Aes Sedai. It doesn't necessarily mean he was bonded to Talic. He told Talic who he was protecting (NOT Talic). The last part of Talic's info is confirmed by White Flame's death scene.

Normally, a bus-driver can swap the positions of any 2 players. It seems that White Flame could only swap himself with a limited number of players (whom he knew to be Aes Sedai). So, I think that's essentially what his power was - to die in place of an Aes Sedai.

So, this makes me doubt the truth of the claim that someone directly targeted White Flame and killed him last night. Maybe he had a condition such that whether he was targeted or the AS he was protecting was targeted, only he could die. That removes the possibility that his AS would die if someone targeted him. That's obviously not stated, but perhaps it exists (and it does make sense role wise).
