The figure stares at the man as if trying to see into his soul. Suddenly, he raises a hand and shoots a fireball, straight at the accuser. At the last second, it swerves and hits the floor instead. When it clears, the figures of Shank and Caballien stand there.

"YOU HAVE BEEN ACCUSED!" the figure thunders at Shank. "AND NOW YOU SHALL DIE!"

Shank falls to the floor, screaming. As the others watch in horror, his skin seems to bubble and shift. All the other guests move back from his body and are thus spared from the barrage of bones and flesh that goes flying out in every direction as Shank's body blows apart.

Almost all are spared. When the guests look up from their spots on the floor, they see Caballien's body with a bone embedded in his forehead. His sightless eyes look up at the world.

The figure in the air shines brighter for a moment. When it once again dims enough to be seen, it speaks, in a more normal volume. "You have done well." it says. "You have wiped out the taint among our followers. You will be rewarded." It flares and disappears.

A white-clothed servant comes forward. "If it pleases you, you will be returned to your homes once you return to your rooms." she tells them, her eyes empty and calm despite the horrors that have happened in the past few days.
