The aftermath of The Sealing of the Bore should have been a jubilant celebration. Instead the valiant Hundred Companions, responsible for Sealing the Dark One away, became nothing more than highly destructive mad men. Using sadin they began to destroy the world. Mountain ranges appeared from nowhere, cities were sunk into the sea, rivers were diverted and lakes dried up. Even the Leader of the Companions Lews Therin Telamon, The Dragon himself slaughtered his own family and created a mountain of ill omen.

At this point in time, the Breaking has been going on for a decade. society is quickly breaking down and roving gangs of brigands are popping up like mushrooms on an old log. The Nym have vanished and even the Ogier are being forced from their stedding. The Standing Flows are broken and little of the technology available still works. The taint is even beginning to spread to male Aes Sedai uninvolved with the Sealing. Shadowspawn are thankfully rare and stay close to Shayol Ghul.

In one little corner of the world a deserted town lies, partly demolished by an insane Aes Sedai. brigands have passed through but there is food, water and safety to be offered. here weary refugees can rest before seeking other places.
