It does seem a safe bet that the ninjas were told they were ninjas, the first thing in my RM is my faction
I don't buy that at all, I'm willing to accept you didn't realize you were role-fishing, but this just seems a blatant falsehood. Why would you even suggest an all vanilla game seriously if you were roled town? I can't believe if you were a role you'd simply ignore this. Yes, in idle speculation someone might say "We could be all roled or all vanilla" but doing just one or the other, no, can't see it. Too negligent or too dishonest. Can you imagine if someone suggested we might be in 'an all cop game' then tried to claim their own role had no effect on the statement, that they were actually a doc?
Again, my speculation about the setup was made independently from any role info.

As I said, it was a tactic that could help roles hide until it was necessary to claim. Even if some roles did exist and they died at night, the scum wouldn't know until one actually claimed. As I explained, this has an overall pro-town effect because it limits the scum from being able to hunt roles. The town isn't really affected since their day-to-day job doesn't really change whether there are roles or not. And yes, I could imagine someone doing something like in your example and still be town. It all depends on what the setup is. If the setup could make sense for an all-cop game, then sure, someone could claim that and not actually be a cop.
Again, I fail to see why all roled characters would have to get messages that didn't mention ninjas. I'm sure you can think of some possibilities where they would be mentioned.
Nobody's saying that, what's basically being said is you've been actively seeking information while refusing to reciprocate even when it would have been pro-town to do so. You also seem to be role-fishing again, nobody but me who has denied having ninja in their RM has said they were roled.
IF we thought you were roled we'd accept that maybe you were the cop or something and got "You can investigate one person a night and find out they were a ninja" but you effectively claimed vanilla, then refuse to be pinned down on it, it just seems like you're trying to keep your options open and where role is concerned there is a big difference between being pinned down as some role or vanilla and actively trying to be ambiguous about it. I really think a vanilla in your shoes would have said by now "Yeah, I'm vanilla, unintentional give away, oops" I even contemplated that you might be a miller and had "You will show up on investigations as a ninja" when you began talking about miller's disclosing but you bypassed that option. If you didn't have ninja in your RM, you should have said so, it would be simple confirmation of my statement and a move likely to increase your townie status. It makes no sense for a vanilla with no mention of ninjas not too mention it. A role does, a role might have ninja as part of their role description, like the cop or miller examples. If you were a vanilla with ninjas in your RM then you should have said so by now, it would be low risk info, very pro-town since as more people have said they didn't you could contradict the statement.
Personally, I can't see how you could be roled town, and I can't see why you would resist confirming ninja RM or lack there of or vanilla status if you are one. You appear to be trying to evade being pinned down on your role and RM, but why? If vanilla you must know everyone already assumes you're either vanilla or ninja, no further harm would be done to you or the town by claiming it, it would decrease your own odds of being a lynch or NK.
Nope, I'm not positive but I bet you did get ninja in your RM, and I think it was as "You're a ninja"
We certainly don't have any other viable candidates, and you still haven't given a definite answer on role or ninja in RM, so...
Vote: BlackAdder
Well, looks like I don't have a choice anymore... I thought I left a hint in my last post, but apparently it didn't work. My role message does mention ninjas because I'm a cop-type-role that looks for ninjas. It did not include a win condition (like, 'kill all the ninjas' or something to that extent). It does tell me that I'm a pirate (I must have had an identity crisis or severe retrograde amnesia to have forgotten that) and that is also the first part of my RM. That said, it's definitely not our traditional cop role (there are differences, for example, in when I can actually use my role and how the results should be interpreted, but I'd rather not get into those since it would tell the scum exactly how to counter me).
Now, I don't think either you or beet are ninjas since I believe you were the first two to say you didn't have any ninjas mentioned in your RMs. I don't think ninjas would have claimed something like that from the outset, unless they already knew what the standard town RM looked like (which I suppose is possible; mods can sometimes tell the mafia what the VT RM looks like, for example, to avoid the VTs just confirming themselves).
However, I just don't think it's a gambit quite that detailed, so I'm thinking you are probably townies. It would be pretty impressive if you two were actually scum and used that gambit, and in that case, I'd just tip my hat to you.
So, I still like my Kronin vote, as I honestly don't believe the jump that he made from what he wrote (i.e., vote someone who would use the role 'ninjaly' ) to what he is now suggesting he meant when he wrote it (vote someone we could tell was using it ninjaly, if they were actually ninja). Honestly, it really looks like a faux pas to me. He has not claimed either way what his RM says about ninjas, either.
